Two gramophones
His Master Voice model 101
from 1927-29 on which I play exclusively a playlist of shellac 78 rpm records from the 1920s to the early 1940s.
Perfect for small indoor venues.
Possibility to amplify with omnidirectional speakers (phantom power) to be inserted in the horn of the gramophone. In this case, the help of a sound engineer is required.
Two briefcase speakers
from the mid 60s, modified, customized and connected to
a simple mixer.
The exit is trough a pair of RCA
or Cannon so I can connect
to the amplifier.
In this situation the selection is
more versatile, with vinyl at 45, 33 rpm, and 78 rpm shellacs, and a playlist including jazz, hot jazz, ragtime, swing, blues, latin jazz, mambo, rumba, calypso, from the 20s to the early 60s.
